Blueberries is a cozy cafe tucked away on Highfield Road in Blackpool, offering a distinctly homely atmosphere that suits both regulars and first-timers looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy straightforward, hearty meals. Its location makes it ideal for a casual catch-up over coffee or a comforting bite to eat after errands or a stroll around the neighborhood.

From the moment you step inside, the welcoming vibe is clear, with a friendly team who multitask effortlessly between serving and kitchen duties, creating a personable and familiar environment. The interior is unpretentious, reflecting the no-fuss approach of the kitchen where traditional, home-cooked style dishes are the focus rather than trend-driven fare.

The menu leans towards classic British comfort food — think cheese & mushroom omelettes served with crinkle-cut chips and a fresh side salad, grilled salmon cooked just right, and hearty options like steak pie or pork chops with onion rings. Portions are generous without feeling excessive, made for those who appreciate substantial, uncomplicated meals that satisfy rather than surprise. There’s also a tempting selection of desserts, including cherry pie with vanilla ice cream, providing a neat sweet finish to the meal.

Blueberries particularly suits families and locals after a filling, affordable lunch or dinner. It’s a spot where grandparents and grandchildren can share a meal comfortably, and weekday visitors can drop in for a quick coffee and a toasted tea cake while running errands nearby. The friendliness extends beyond food—customers often mention the relaxed, home-from-home atmosphere, and the presence of a small, calm dog in the corner adds to the casual charm.

Street parking nearby makes it accessible for a quick stop, while the steady, efficient service ensures you won’t be waiting long for your order. Weekends and early evenings seem popular for families looking for familiar tastes done well; meanwhile, weekday mornings bring in locals grabbing breakfast or a catch-up coffee. Blueberries feels like a neighborhood hub for solid, honest meals in an unpretentious setting.

excellent as usual was served by a friendly lady who doubled as the waitress too. In the kitchen the chef who obviously knows what he is doing in the as his salmon dinner was cooked to perfection. Thank You both (Lynn and John) for providing a lovely welcoming cafe with good food and a nice atmosphere i will keep returning and bring along my friends so that they know what they are missing and hopefully they will return to give you more customers.

After a lovely first visit by just myself and my wife - we went again today with family - 4 adults and 2 children. Had the Sunday Roast - all plates went back with nothing left on them - then followed by desserts and they were lovely as well. Good wholesome food, cooked well and served with a smile. This is a really friendly place that offers good food at a very reasonable price. Thank you

We visited Blackpool over the weekend and popped into Blueberries for some lunch. What a lovely little cafe! The service was pleasant and the food was cooked fresh and was hot. Very reasonably priced. We will be visiting again the next time we are in town.

Blueberries on Highfield Road, Blackpool is a lovely little cafe with very friendly staff & a cracking menu to choose from with very reasonable prices! Whether you have a light snack, cake & coffee or a homemade meal, everything is fresh & extremely tasty. The cafe is very clean & cosy & you can take food to go also. Two tables are outside to the entrance of the building for warmer days! There is a unisex washroom & is wheelchair friendly. There opening times are as follows; Monday-Saturday 9am-4pm Sunday Closed (Although recently the cafe has been opened on Sundays but I'm not too sure if this is ongoing). A lovely little cafe to relax & enjoy good food in!
